Spinozzi Racing Qualified Solidly ahead of Winternationals Final Eliminations

The first three of four qualifying sessions for the 2012 Fuchs Lubricants Winternationals are now completed. The final session will be completed tomorrow morning.

Spinozzi Racing made two good runs today a 7.044 and a 7.075 second run to currently sit in fifth position in the qualifying order. Yesterday, the team made one run, where the team struggled with a new combination that the team had been trying.

“We made the decision to try a new clutch combination, which took us some time to get our head around. We got it figured out on the first run this morning and we recorded our career best elapsed time with a 7.044 second lap. We then looked at the data and made some changes, with the second run recording a 7.075 second run”, said Emilio Spinozzi, team owner and driver, Spinozzi Racing.

The field is already the quickest 16 car Pro Stock field in Australian Drag Racing history with the bump being a 7.10 second pass.
