Spinozzi Racing heads south for 2014 season opener

Next weekend, April 4th and 5th will mark the season opener for the 2014 ANDRA Pro Stock season at Calder Park in Melbourne for the Spinozzi Racing team at the Southern Nationals.

The return to the Melbourne facility will put-to-bed a 14 year absence of Pro Stock in Melbourne.

In the off season, Spinozzi Racing has made several changes to the team, the biggest of them being the addition of Michael Marriott and Marriott racing’s motorsport database systems.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome Michael to the team. Michael brings a wealth of knowledge in chassis and track tuning and most importantly Michael’s ability to convey data has already showed promise in most recent testing, “said Emilio Spinozzi, team owner and driver.

Michael has worked in Pro Stock for many years and has put together systems for keeping accurate data as well as building performance reports.

“Firstly, I want to take this opportunity to thank Emilio and Adamo Spinozzi of Spinozzi Racing for allowing me to come and be a part of the team’s racing efforts. The team has some of the best equipment available to Pro Stock, our focus and goal over the new season will remain on bringing everything together and producing a fast and consistent race car” said Marriott.

Once again, Rino Conte of RC Performance Engines in Adelaide S.A will be supplying the team’s engines. Rino has worked hard on the engine programme in the off season to ensure that the team has optimum horse power and reliability.

Special thanks also must go to Mark Brew of Pro-Force Motorsports for his continued support during the off season and in preparations of 2014 season.
